Description

The Mansion Hotel & Spa at Werribee Park is a breath of fresh air. A tranquil Melbourne retreat in the most regal and fragrant of landscapes. Located just outside the city, your journey from the centre of this most livable city just thirty minutes; your destination, the prized attraction of Werribee Park. Home of the region's first Italianate Mansion, the 1870s house stands majestically, harmoniously intertwined with the sophisticated Mansion Hotel & Spa of today; two different periods, both treasured for their spirit and grace.

The tranquility of this luxurious landscape, combined with convenient proximity to Melbourne’s CBD and international airport, with the myriad of nearby attractions makes the Mansion Hotel & Spa at Werribee Park an accessible and sophisticated escape from the city.

Set within 10 acres of park like gardens and manicured grounds, this historic heritage building has been sophisticatedly transformed, with a strong emphasis on retaining the heritage and it’s links with tradition. There are 91 guest rooms, each with every facility and amenity demanded of a luxury five star Victoria hotel. The Library, reminiscent of a modern Gentleman’s Club, dark, rich and friendly, provide guests with a space for recreation and relaxation, while the 17 meter indoor pool, spa, steam rooms and gymnasium present spaces for quiet activity and wellbeing. For rejuvenation and escape is The Spa, with eight treatment rooms, relaxation lounge and diverse range beauty therapies.

We encourage you to take time for reflection, escape, to nurture the body and relax the mind.

I am a regular at the day spa, the experience starts as soon as I drive into the gates,a feeling of calmness and quiet. Parking is never a problem. Walking to the entrance is such a lovely stroll, taking in the surroundings & beautiful landscape, and people sitting at the cafe ,with a coffee. The pool entrance has a "WOW" factor for me every time...Very inviting. Staff are welcoming & attentive.
Best to come is the treatment, lovely products, wonderful tretment, rooms are very soothing, earthly colour scheme, relaxing music, and wonderfull aromas. There is never a sense of being rushed , if anything its always a little longer, than booked. Love the fresh white towels and gown and slippers, shampoo & conditioner and hairdryers. All ready to go.......(Pick the kids up from school)LOL
If you want to be lost in time ,this is the spa I reccomend.

Lovely time. Six friends enjoying time away form the hustle and bustle. Easy access from our room - totally private entrance but didn't feel like an afterthought. Lovely pool area for sue prior/after. Lovely tea (nice teapots) and simple use of foyer area to make it feel more relaxing. Treatment rooms were spacious, girls doing treatments listened to our requests. Although I would have liked her to offer to talk to me/not. She didn't (it didn't really matter but I am always interested in what they are doing). Would have liked to be able to book another one straight after - but they were booked out!

The treatment was very relaxing, with the therapist checking in at the beginning of the session about my specific needs. The setting is absolutely beautiful. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming. I would like to provide some feedback on the waiting area before and after the session. Therapists are moving in an out of the room to go to the cupboard for materials. This movement disrupted the tranquility of the waiting area and it would be preferrable for all materials to be stored in an area away from the guests.

Wow what a wonderful place! After receiving this package from my husband for my 40th birthday i thought it would be just another massage...how wrong i was.
Apon arrival we were greeted at reception with a smile and such a warm feeling of welcome, we were given locker keys and shown to our change rooms, opening the locker to see a beautiful robe and slippers we quickly got changed,we were then taken to a seperate lounge area(so beautiful) and given herbal tea before our treatment.
Our treatment was amazing (mud body wrap and massage) the room was warm, the music just perfect to compliment our stay, the ladies were ever so freindly and so professional. After our treatment had finished we were taken back to the lounge to relax and enjoy a cold drink. You dont find this at just any spa (trust me i've had a few)
And to top the day off we finished with a pefect lunch at the Mansion (yum yum)

I had a hot rocks massage booked in early May 2010, when i walked into the room to begin my treatment it was freezing cold being an old building, i asked if the heating was going to be switched on bec it was freezing which she replied there was no heating but she had switched the little electric heater on.. So here i am getting a full body massage with hot rocks freezing cold to the point of shivering the beautician relized that i was shivering so she put a towel on me aswell as a doona.. What sort of full body massage do you have with a towel and a doona.
I had then said to her half way that i wanted to stop my massage bec i was freezing still and not enjoying it at all, she was quite upset but agreed.
I then spoke to the manager who was not friendly at all and wanted me to pay half the price. I had refused and told her to get her manager to call me bec it was the worst experiance i had ever had.

Dear Spa Guest,

Many thanks for the time taken to provide feedback on your May 2010 spa experience.

To have experienced a less than relaxing environment is not of the standard of excellence a spa retreat should be.

I am delighted to inform that since June 2010 the Lancemore Group took over ownership and management of the Mansion Hotel and Spa. Since my appointment in June as General Manager, we have embarked on a series of improvements to the guest experience. Part of this enhancement program is our heating and cooling system and our onsite training.

We have also recently secured a new spa product Ilcsi and I look forward to welcoming you back to The Spa so we may restore your faith in our spa product.

Yours sincerely

Michael Edwards
General Manager
