Heaven can be found on earth.
While I have my local day spa I visit for those quick pick me ups - the Hyatt Coolum Day Spa is where I go for some serious pampering and soul soothing zen time.
I have been there many times before but my most recent treatment was a birthday gift for my fiancé and I booked us in for a 1 hour couples massage with 30 minute suite time. Everything here is perfect. The ladies on reception are welcoming and professional - yet had that relaxing Coolum vibe that the Hyatt is perfect for.
We met our therapists and they were charming and endearing without being over the top and fake. They made us both feel extremely comfortable... then the treatment began! Every time I have had a treatment here I just feel like I'm melting into the table and I can actually feel the world slip away. Any stress or annoyance is just massaged out of me. Even though the spa is in the midst of the resort, the way the rooms have been designed and the landscaping make you believe you are in the middle of nowhere.
Once the massage was over, the therapists helped us to the private outdoor geisha plunge spa's (one each!). We seriously needed help getting out there; we were both just like jelly! Once we had submerged ourselves into the warm bubbling water, our came individual fruit platters and a piccolo of champagne. I loved the fact that the two spas were separate. We got to enjoy this time together yet also got to just drift to our own mental calmness. Nothing was more amazing then a hot spa, outdoors under the stars, while winter is circling around.
I also want to note that like most women I have some sort of body issue but I have never felt more comfortable in a spa then I do at the Hyatt Day Spa. I’ve never felt ashamed about a lump, bump or roll and have always felt at ease with the therapists.
If the spa treatments stretch your pocket a little too much, the whole day spa is worth the visit. There are private males and females spas with a fantastic ‘communal’ one by the pools. And the absolute BEST part is there no one under 16 is allowed. A true adult get away.
While we love and adore the Hyatt Coolum as a whole (seriously, if you haven’t been there, GO NOW!) the Day Spa is what makes it unforgettable.

a blissful Coolum experience
the day spa is located within the Hyatt Regency Resort. I had a manicure, pedicure and beautiful head massage concentrating on all the veridian points on the head and neck. before and after the treatment I had access to the communal spa bath (I was the only one there :-) ) and private pool area which is quiet and does not cater for children. the therapists were lovely and unintrusive, happy to talk if I wanted to but equally happy to be quiet and let me relax. A beautifully relaxing, quiet and healing way to spend half a day in one of Queensland's best resorts.

The ultimate spa experience - this is a true spa!
My treatment at the Hyatt Coolum Spa was nothing short of perfect. Starting with the welcome and the greeting from the receptionist, to the calm and beautiful ambiance, this was an amazing spa experience from start to finish. The decor and furnishings are ezquisite and the spa lends itself to one of the most beautiful I have visited
the actual treatment was fantastic ( an oxygen facial) and I admit to floating off on a number of occasions whilst trying to stay awake and savour every single moment. The therapist was experienced and attentive but not over the top and made me feel very comfortable. my skin was in heaven!
it was wonderful to be able to enjoy the spa facilities aftwerwards then enjoy some time by the private spa pool with hubby: this is my new place to be on relaxing weekends and I will return to the spa again and again!
